Kindle Edition Publication Date: March 10 2015 ASIN: B00SEO1TWM Paperback Edition Publication Date: March 10, 2015 ISBN: 0692361715 ISBN13: 9780692361719 Available on Synopsis: She gave me her blood, and my life changed forever. Anastasia. My sire. The only influential figure in my already-fragile life. She did this to me. She caused all the pain and suffering. There was a time I believed I owed her everything. After all, she gave me immortality and the never-ending thirst for the energy contained in the blood of my victims. But now vampires hunt me and the humans want to use me as their personal weapon. They believe I'm some kind of apotropaic figurine that can damn all Deamhan and force us back into hell where we belong. Me? I just want to live. I just want to be Maris. That way, the only one I can damn is myself. **This novel takes place between Book 1 and Book 2 of the Deamhan Chronicles** My Thoughts: This novel takes place between book 1 and book 2 of Deamhan Chronicles so there were names and Deamhan terms I'm familiar with because I've read The Deamhan Chronicles book 1 already. I've missed the Deamhan world and good thing I was given an ecopy of this book from the author. This book is about Maris, her life after her transformation in being a Ramanga Deamhan, about her importance as well as a danger to Deamhans and why Vampires and some Deamhans wanted her dead, about how other Deamhans protected her and the bloody battles it had cost, about Maris' ancestors' link to the Pure Ones, about her life in New York and Chicago with Finley where they blended with the humans, about the two Deamhans she cared most and how they were gone in her life, and about the upcoming threat from Lucius and why he's looking for her. This book explains more about the Dictum, the Pure Ones and how, who, why Deamhans were created and a bit information of the Dorvo Coven and their relationship with The Brotherhood. This book is more emotional than the Deamhan Chronicles book 1. Although I didn't like Maris because some of her decisions resulted in bloody attacks, my heart went out to her during her down moments. I felt the pain, and her sorrow after the two Deamhans she cared most were killed. That scene when she came back for Finley but things didn't turned out what she expected and with all the flashbacks of their time together and their dream to go to San Francisco really broke my heart. I can't wait to find out how the characters and plot from Deamhan Chronicles book 1 and from this book will all be connected in the second book of both series. There's a glossary at the end of this book that explains the Deamhan terms. This is a highly recommended read especially those into supernatural genre. Enjoy the bloody action-packed scenes, revelations and twists and turns of events in the world of Deamhans. Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ About the Author: Isaiyan Morrison was born and raised in Minnesota. Publication Date: March 1, 2015 Synopsis: **A Stand-Alone Full Length Stepbrother Romance with an HEA** I'd never been to a sex club before. Hell, before I saw the new erotic romance movie, I didn’t even know what BDSM was. I was that naïve. Mix together a few shots of alcohol, my dangerously adventurous girlfriend and a dose of curiosity, and you had the recipe for a very crazy night. That’s how I ended up inside the sex club. How did I end up being schooled in the arts of BDSM by my sinfully sexy stepbrother? Now that was just pure madness. My Thoughts: Erotica is one of my favorite genres and this is my second jump on sexy step sibling story. This is my first Arabella Quinn read and I'm so glad I saw this while looking on goodreads for a steamy read. I was sucked into the story from the very beginning! The characters were enjoyable to read, and there's this revelation about Ava's father and Cole's mom. The sexy scenes were just so damn HOT and DELICIOUS! This is not an all-sex read, it has a sexy interesting plot with a bit of family drama. The reason why it does not get 5 stars is that I wish the author explored more on Ava's father after the blackmail stuff and I'm curious what happened with Ava's best friend who just vanished in the story after they went to the Sanctuary. A highly recommended read! Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Available on About the Author: Arabella Quinn gave up a demanding career to become a stay at home mom. Published by: AG Creative Publishing Publication Date: February 20, 2015 Kindle Edition / 278 pages Synopsis: What do the dead have to fear? A medium combines his ethereal gifts with an ambitious reporter’s investigative zeal to uncover the truth obscured by a string of unlikely suicides. Robert Baselton has grown accustomed to seeing the dead as they wander between worlds. However, when the spirits of a girl and an old woman become a regular presence in his everyday life, Robert has a suspicion that there’s a link between them and the utterances of murder that the Messenger of Death whispers in his ear. Every time the Messenger appears, another presence is soon to follow. As Robert delves deeper into the lives of the deceased, Alexis Kearns, his girlfriend’s older sister, witnesses James Hawthorne plummet to his death in the middle of downtown Seattle. Armed with nothing but a smartphone and her knack for acting well under pressure, she is the first to cover this widely-publicized story. Impressed with Alexis’ coverage and integrity, Hawthorne’s mother reveals to Alexis that her son could communicate with the dead and insists that he is just one of several mediums to have allegedly committed suicide in the past month. Alexis is intrigued with the pattern of unlikely deaths and follows up on Mrs. Hawthorne’s concern when she finds a connection between the medium suicides and Robert’s increasingly erratic behavior. Concerned for her sister, Alexis unknowingly aids Robert in trying to uncover what really happened to the mediums that have died, and discovers that both the dead and the living should be afraid of who—or what—is responsible. My Thoughts: *I received a free ecopy of this book from the author but this has not affected my review in any way.* This book falls into my favorite genre but I didn't have any expectations. Well, I loved this from beginning to the end. I loved how the characters end up helping each other in uncovering the truth behind the deaths of the mediums, how they were connected and how it all started. This is not just a typical paranormal mystery story. The well-written and interesting characters, plot, revelations and unexpected turn of events and the mystery in the story will definitely keep the reader in turning the pages. This is the first book of the series so there were questions left unanswered that the second book might have the answers. A highly recommended read especially for those into paranormal genre.
